Sentry Laser Weapon

Those who know me know that I have quite the obsession for Disney's THE BLACK HOLE, partly because it scared me to death as a kid (that's another story) but particularly because of the hardware design. Of particular note to me were the fabulous laser weapons, so naturally I considered them to be a good candidate for further flexing of the Blender muscles. This was my first play with the capacity for creating spirals, as seen on the upper and lower power coils.
