Setting the obvious trauma of losing a bottle of wine to the ocean, I would be remiss if I didn't take every opportunity to bring Sam, Eric and Bob back for at least another piece (I highly doubt this is their last appearance!). I've come to realise with the last couple of pieces that I have a real love of what I've come to call "snow globe" projects. They force you to effective and brief, to focus on all aspects of the piece, conceptual and technical, to evoke a narrative that's creatively fulfilling. On the technical side this "snow globe" employs a lovely fusion of experimental displacement (the sand and seaweed roots) and geometric nodes (rocks, seaweed and shells) to bring the ocean floor to life.
